Tech Question of the Day (A+): Examine the figure. What is considered to be the most secure of the listed sign-in options?

Answer

The password is still considered to be the most secure sign-in option – that is, as long as it is of the right complexity and length. It is the accepted form of authentication in most secure environments. However, it may be used in a multi-factor authentication scheme as an added layer of defense.

A PIN or a gesture-based sign-in (such as the picture password option) is better than nothing, but the password option is the strongest option.

That said, the password option works best when a strong password is implemented and the password is changed frequently.
